Appearance:
Rosepetal is quite a small feline, coming up an inch or two shorter than most cats in her clan. But, it doesn't put her off too much. Her paws are very delicate, slightly clear claws tucked away in their sockets. She hardly uses them, meaning they are quite blunt. If you go up from them, you can see her legs are well padded out. They should be too, Rosepetal spends most of her time wandering around for herbs and such alike. The rest of her body is quite full in appearance, but she is not fat in any respects. She is well sized, for her height. There are no traces of her skeleton to be seen on her body, which is another good sign for one of her age. When you get to her face, you can start to wonder about Rosepetal. See, she has a strange coldness to her face. Short and round jawline with her large amber, slightly green eyes. There isn't much expression on her face either. Most of the time, you have to read her eyes to work out what's going on in her head. Pointed ears and long whiskers make her a good cat for hunting and searching.

From her name, you would imagine Rosepetal to be...coloured in some way. Ginger perhaps, or something like that. But, you would be wrong. Apart from her eyes, this she-cat is monochrome. Nearly all of her body is covered in thick white fur, nearly because her tail is pure black. The black just appears, it doesn't blend in or anything. It's just there. A black splotch rests on her light pink nose, a small fleck on her left ears and a strange tear-drop mark from her left eye too.

Personality:
A silent voice rests within her vocal chords, much like a song, in the way she strings words together. Rosepetal isn't one for talking, it's not something she would make a habit of. Actions speak louder than owrds, and it is something she herself stands by. Possibly one of the more... unusual Medicine Cats the clans have seen for a while, Rosepetal seems to appear from nowhere when you need her. Her gaze is rather hypnotic, leading others to think that she isn't really who she claims to be. But get past the cold exterior and you will be fine in her paws. Her knowledge of all things to do with medicine is vast. Her methods might be a little different, but he can cure many ilnesses and injuries.

Rosepetal isn't shy, but she isn't really one for company. Hardly ever seen with others, she prefers time alone. Still, if called upon, she won't mind a few cats around. She can strike up a conversation when intrigued by something, but holding cats intrests is a hard task for her, one of her only topics being around her job. She does need to see a bit more of the world around her, and for her young age, she needs more experiance of being young. Thrust into a world she loved, she had little time to really be a proper kit.

Sometimes, she can be a little strict and stern, which might be the reason for her lack of apprentice yet. If something doesn't go right, she may have a little bit of a moan about it, but it doesn't last long. She can shrug things off quite easily, some argue it is a bad thing. Rosepetal is a soft she-cat, knowing when to let her maternal instincts take over when caring for another. Despite her age, she acts like a true adult in many respects.

History:
Rosepetal was born directly into JungleClan by two Warriors. Her family have always had white coats, at far as she can remember anyway. Both of her parents were average looking cats with a little bit of colour flecked here and there, but Rosepetal was born monochrome, no colour apart from her eyes. Well, no reason to complain. She was the only kit in the litter, according to her parents. She doesn't remember any other kits, so believed them. They called her Rosekit, so she had a colourful name to brighten up her looks.

Rosepetal was always rather quiet, and rather solitary. She used to wander off and just sit in a patch of flowers, looking up at the sky and daydreaming. After a while, she began to name some of the flwoers from her memory, and her parents soon realised that their little girl was not going to grow into a Warrior like them. So, Flowersong and Russetclaw handed her to the Medicine Cat; Waterlily.

Waterlily was glad to have an apprentice, and began to look after and train Rosepetal as soon as she was handed over. Then, she was called Rosepaw. The silvery she-cat took her apprentice into the field often, showing her a wide variety of herbs and flowers, teaching her the uses. It started off slowly, but Rosepaw was a very quick learner for her age. So, the training got quicker and harder. Waterlily then showed Rosepaw what to do with Honey and Cobwebs, and the best method of collecting them.

By the time Rosepaw was seventeen moons old, she had learnt all she could from Waterlily. That day, a few cats came in with bad bellyache, so Waterlily went off to get some Juniper Berries. Rosepaw stayed with the cats, waiting for her tutor to return. A long time passed, and no silvery she-cat returned. Rose went to her totors den, and used what little berries she found to cure her clan-mates. It later turned out that Waterlily had been attacked on her return trip, and never made it back.

So, Rosepaw was renamed Rosepetal, and took over from Waterlily as Medicine Cat.

Roleplay Sample:

What a lovely day. Rosepetal moved briskly through the forest, her limbs swinging gracefully as they pushed her forward. It was still probably a bit too early to be going on herb outings, especially since she hadn't really slept too good, but how could one resist? The sun's light was muted by the trees, casting a glow that was strangly green tinted, but it was alluring enough. Rosepetal had already been rising from her nest and padding toward the camp entrance before she realized that she indeed intinded to go herb-hunting.

As the she-cat moved nimbly under the cover of trees, her pelt brushing against various plants, her stomach protested her decision not to eat with a dull, arguing rumble. The squirrel she wanted wasn't plump in clan standards, but she was convinced that someone would have already taken it; JungleClan's Duskstar probably. Even if the fresh-kill was to sit on the pile all day, Rosepetal was smart enough to know that she would get some prey sooner or later. So, she ignored her stomach's protesting and carried on walking thorugh the trees, following her nose in search of herbs.

The monochrome she-cat sensed activity within the camp as she approuched the entrance, and so turned around and decided not to approach her clanmates. She twisted her delicate frame to avoid any messing of her pelt, not wishing to disturb the careful grooming she had given her fur earlier on. Her white limbs strode forward away from JungleClan camp, going to the thicker trees. It was the only way she new of how to get to the clearing where she could find all of the herbs and plants she needed. Waterlily taught her so. Poor girl...attacked in her prime. May she be happy in StarClan. Lost in thought, she walked past some of the trees, not careful of her footing.

Rosepetal walked on, shaking her head to remove thoughts of her mentor. Wandering into the clearing, the sunlight hit her yellow-green eyes, causing her to squint. Sure it was winter, but there was still bright light about.

Appearance;; Freerain is a golden-tabby she cat, with a long tail that sweeps the ground. She has a beautifully marked soft-gold coat, and the main color fades to white toward her belly. Her stripes are dashed and mixed in with spots, and are a pretty, dark brown. Her paws are small and dainty, and her paw pads are soft. Her paws are different colors: her back paws are the brown of her stripes, the front pure, snow-white. She has large, round ocean blue eyes, thickly lined with black, and they always seem to have a happy glow. Her legs are long and thin, but not frail. Her fur is slightly long and gets longer toward her stomach, and her muzzle is long and narrow.

Personality;; Freerain is gentle and care-free. She always seems to be happy, and rarely angry or sad. She loves her life as medicine cat, and believes she couldn’t have been born as anyone else. She loves to heal others, but every now and then can get extremely worried with sick apprentices or kits. She is confident with herself and has a strong connection with StarClan, and some cats seem to be drawn to her friendly, loyal personality.

History;; Freerain was born out in the rain, as her mother had journeyed away from the camp because she had been frustrated being in the nursery constantly. However, her mother had reached just outside the Medicine cat den before giving birth, and the medicine cat was there in time to help. Her mother named her Freekit because she thought that Freekit looked joyous. As Freekit grew up, she spent most of her time in the Medicine cat den, sniffing herbs and helping the medicine cat. Eventually, the current medicine cat noticed her interest in the herbs and asked her if she wanted to be her apprentice as Freepaw. Freepaw learned all she needed to know quite quickly, but didn’t get her full name until five moons later. When she finally became Freerain, her mentor retired to the elder’s den.

Freerain felt a smile play across her face as she stepped out of her den. The sun warmed her golden fur, and she stretched luxuriously. She was sure today would be beautiful and simple, and wanted to feel the difference of every grain of sand on the beach. She kneaded her claws into the ground as she stretched, and swept the air with her feathery tail. She blinked her eyes and licked a paw, running it over her ears and face. She stretched once more, and headed for the Clan entrance to look for the herbs she was missing in her stock. As she padded along the ground, weaving around foliage she made up a chant in her head. "Coltsfoot for shortness of breath, feverfew to cool down body temperature, thyme for frayed nerves..." Freerain repeated it over and over, beginning to hum along with it. When she was confident she had memorized it, she stopped chanting and slowed down her pace. Freerain listened to her footsteps’ pattern on the leaves: krsssh, krsh, krsssh, krsh. Freerain suddenly stopped, and raised her head to scent the air. She swiveled her ears around and quickly turned to the left. Freerain scrabbled and stepped over a rock, and upon looking inside a small crevasse, she found thyme intertwined with a dandelion plant. She turned her head to fit it inside the crack, and wrapped her mouth around the plant. Gently pulling, she took the thyme out of the crack and shook the dirt out of its roots. She purred happily, and turned around to head back to the camp.
